And of course it was nice to family and friends back to us. With 3-5 appointments a day, then we have also used very extensively Nevertheless, many remained for a visit not the desired amount of time left. Six days for such a visit in fact too short. On the other hand, I suspect that not having more time is really relaxed

Our way had indeed seven hours stay in Manama and we can say that the possible, but definitely not desirable. In the very low sky bar and restaurant, you can take around 7 € for a sumptuous curry to yourself and then with a movie about 4 hours are used up. With a bit of surf and chat with Mitwartenden you get around and another two hours, but the last hour is definitely annoying. Especially since the air conditioning in Manama is set to really cold.

So we were very glad that for the return flight was only two hours stay and those with transit security check, a half-hour diversion and directly again boarding pass very quickly.

Since the next flight to Germany and the flight to Chile, and the decision for the Atacama desert now fallen or are booked, we can now once again on the next holiday vorfreuen too. The order is now being expected to only 9 weeks away

Sometimes the first impression is not necessarily the right one. That is not necessarily something new, but often succumbs to him after all.

When I arrived, I saw at first relatively common cars driving around on the street, their seats were equipped with a plastic coating. This in itself is now nothing particularly remarkable, the new car in Germany or garages so handled by the appropriate vehicles prior to delivery or just to protect the repair. On the end user can enjoy the carefree and clean sitting experience.

Here is the slightly different but dar. Many of the vehicles with plastic-covered seats have their best years behind them and look more like they should as soon as possible in the workshop and are therefore not exactly. The new vehicles and repair theory fails also.

Other explanations seem more logical. First, we have a lot of dust in the air. I had, I believe, already mentioned once that you have after six hours of windows open to a fine layer of dust on all surfaces, as it would in Germany, maybe after two weeks of the case. Well, we are here in the desert, not surprising.
Second, it is quite warm (in order for the summer at times impulsive express). Accordingly, people sweat more. And who wants to have sweat secretions in the car seat. And since shorts / skirts are not worn visibly, no bare skin comes into contact with the plastic.

In sum Riyadh is not the city of new cars, but here go around in any case more cars that are inside and a new car wrapped in plastic

What stands out for you summer? Is it the heat? Is it the sun? Or, for you are especially well to longer days?

Especially the latter we have not. Due to the much more southerly location riads in comparison to Karlsruhe, the difference in day length between summer and winter is not so dramatic. Germany goes into the sun in the winter at about 16:30, the shifts in the summer to 21:30 clock. A difference of 5 hours! The sunrise I leave it now before time outside.

In Riyadh, however, is the sunset in the winter earlier than 17:00, in the summer but also no later than 18:45. A time span of only 1:45 hours!

Now in the summer you notice the difference but noticeable. It simply lack the evening hours, which could easily spend in Germany in daylight. After the 22 June and so the summer solstice is already over built, this difference from now and again. to experience a summer without a long bright days is very unusual

Added to this is the duration of twilight. Also due to the situation here in Riyadh, the sun also much faster than in Germany. So it is here sometimes at the time of sunset in brightness for shopping goes and comes out and finds himself in the night. Overall, getting used to
