Stuttgart 21 as the valve of current policy

by Andi

Where to start in Stuttgart 21 or # s21, and where do you stop? I have to admit the facts regarding the project, I am not familiar to 100%, but all I've read and heard points to similar conditions as in out of the Karlsruhe combined solution. Similar cost explosions and similar disagreement on the part of the population with the policy concerning the meaning and purpose of the measure.

Nevertheless, S21 is being pursued because it was so completely legitimized again and again thoroughly democratic. So I wonder how it could then come to such action as yesterday in the park in Stuttgart.

All the signs for me pointed out that there was a peaceful demonstration. A conscience pledged police would have to pull the ripcord and de-escalating intervention. De-escalating in this case, my opinion would have been not to allow the felling of trees by the eviction. So now an "unnecessary" part of the construction project was completed instead of waiting for a referendum.

All in all, I stay back stunned, as it may happen that a student demonstration as originally started action results in even Spiegel Online by a civil war talks.

The man in the picture, at the rally as far as I understand it lost his eyesight ...

If you look at in the same context, the excitement about recalculation of Hartz IV and the extension of nuclear power over the will of the citizens of time, one need not wonder in my opinion, that develops an unhealthy climate Sarrazin. So a climate in which the people fooled by the policies simply happen and are susceptible to such trickster Sarrazin.

The video of Baden-Wuerttemberg Interior Minister and his statement that mothers and fathers of their children have virtually used as shields. Just to say such a perfidious.

Read value is also the compilation of many tweets to # S21 at Fixmbr . Also a large collection found in Opalkatze .
Now hope that this evening in Stuttgart moderate and proportionate really approaching.

Addendum: On 9 October will take place in the German Embassy for a reception to mark German Unity Day. At this reception Stefan Mappus (CDU) is well known, Baden-Württemberg Minister President, here to participate in Riyadh. I'm curious even know if it in any form, are reactions to the current situation in Stuttgart, or whether only the knock-friendly shoulder. We have to, because of Susan's work in the German school, an invitation. We will look at the least :)

Warmth

by Andi

We are now still quite a few questions, if it was not in the ambiguous meaning of hell on earth in such a hot country like Saudi Arabia to live.

10958_thermometer_geringe_luftfeuchtigkeit

To understand my evaluation in this regard, one should know that I sometimes felt in Karlsruhe temperatures above 25 ° have to be unpleasant. For me it was so from the beginning an adventure to move to a country which has an average temperature of 28 °.

Although the sounds crazy at first, but I feel the heat here in everyday life much less stressful and unpleasant than what I have experienced in Karlsruhe.

This is due to two things: First, it is almost surrounded in every situation of air conditioning and the other is this is a dry heat.

We have central air conditioning in the house, which automatically keeps the hotel at 25-26 °. You notice first as you get used to the air conditioning when the power goes out again and the temperature rises in the house in a short time to 30 °.
Next to the house of course the car has an AC and the office with a modern data center, do I lose probably not a word ;) All shopping centers / malls, the veterinarian or fast food stamps, such as McDonalds, or the many Hardeys Schawerma stores. Everywhere there is air conditioning in all possible forms.

One may now think that the most environmentally, of course, is a complete horror. However one must note that without the air conditioning hardly a modern life would be possible and the dry air from the air conditioner you get used pretty quickly. I'm also curious if I will run the nose as soon as we get in 2 weeks in Germany from the plane, because the mucous membranes produce more fluid than in wetter climes would be needed. We'll see.

Speaking of dry. Besides the air conditioning is on the other hand, the heat, or better to endure heat and therefore very well because we have maximum humidity of 10%. In Karlsruhe there schonmal other hand, has 60% or more and is just sticky. For me, it was hard to imagine, but the humidity alone makes a big difference if you feel overwhelmed by the heat or if it's only just warm.

And so it is already present during the day so hot about 45 degrees, but I'm looking for no longer there the shadows than I would do it in Germany, although there are around 20 degrees warmer. Although we are sometimes in the evening asked how warm it was then, and reacts with surprise, when we speak of something just under 40, one must always bear in mind that the drought is playing a huge role :)
