The 2009 federal election is over and ran successfully from the standpoint of the pirates, even if some people had hoped sure there maybe enough for direct entry into the Bundestag. It has reached the 2% not well known, but no reason to be sad. In my opinion, at least the first steps have been taken to make the concerns of the Pirates to a wider audience, especially since this is not fringe issues (I'm just tuition fees). We shall now see how the black and yellow behaves and the FDP may not behave as usual as a flag in the wind and implements its election promises. However, I do not really believe in it. I hope the next time just do not, but know right away that the FDP, the flags in the wind is par excellence ...

All of this as an introduction, because last Wednesday I have in the city during an autumn walk spontaneously at the information desk of the Pirates completed and submitted my application for membership and have been confirmed Thursday evening pirate!
Some friends and acquaintances and even my wife (as I've been waiting for the last 9 months to write the times ) Were ahead of me and made zealous member advertising for the change in the political landscape. So why another detailed above post by me about joining a pirate?
Well for one thing because I have the feeling among the pirates, not to be one of many, but as an individual to get involved can. And secondly, because I include on F! xmbr on this post and would like to express was decided that I do not accept this behavior and not feel it as the norm. The pirates, who I know are all reasonable people, and especially not the objectively denounced tendencies discussions on the personal level to draw. While it is probably also the case that all the major blogs, or even the better-known faces of the German blog landscape, nothing can do with the pirates, and therefore write tends provocative, this is changing for me, but nothing about the fact that I and the pirates can not enter to the personal level.

Hence me of a "Prepare to Change". We can achieve a lot, even without that we are represented in parliament! And to put it as a pirate: Arrrrrr!
