After the first few days with our new toy, a Canon EOS 500D, I will sometimes take a short resume.

In summary we may say that it is worthwhile to buy the 500D, if you want to have the best image quality of a semi-professional 50D, without the same need to carry round the body. Although one must of course hold that even the 450D makes excellent images.
