Oracle Data Integrator with special training night

by Andi

Shortly after the change of jobs , training was again one announced. This time it was about the Oracle Data Integrator. Quasi an Oracle internal competitor for Warehouse Builder. The difference is that one should use the ODI, when it comes to heterogeneous database systems.

The training had a duration of three days and have reached quite easily. It would have been able to convey the contents in 2 days, but that it was practical to try the plan. The 11 practical sessions have highlighted just about every aspect of the ODI This one also garnered a good look at the ODI and its capabilities.
Also of interest was the architecture of the Oracle building in Munich. From above, from the complex as a four-leaf clover ( Google Maps ). And inside it has failed a giant glass atrium.

On the part of the training was worth the stay in Munich so already. But just like last time, this time the hotel was remarkable. But not because of a modern, but rather getting used to design. Too many hotel rooms I've never seen, but one with 2-4 floors (depending on what one counts as a floor) not sure you experience every day. A few impressions of my room at the Derag Hotel Karl Theodor:

Special experiences I brought the mirror on the back of the front door. This means that after you close the door sometimes in front of a "foreign" person in the middle of empty hotel rooms is expected. A murder terror and not just once.
For this, the tub, which made it possible not to stand without stooping in the shower. For 1.60 m is too little. The floors, however, have of course their own charm :-) Ahso and the bed is a foldaway bed, as we saw in - I believe - had 70.
