So basically this article is not a HOWTO, as I only to another blog post that is this one point would urabatan.info at, but specifically notes the Nokia E61i voted for. In the article, but otherwise everything is declared significant.
If you follow this you can synchronize its Symbian mobile phone without engaging in any config files and it even has a choice whether you want to do this with Evolution, Kontact or Google Calendar. It is even possible to synchronize all three at once.
Is used for this Kitchensync , the KDE-based but is also readily Gnome / Ubuntu running under. Kitchensync does this on opensync back and this just provides plugins for Evolution, Kontact / Kmail, and Google Calendar.
The synchronization runs via Bluetooth and make some adjustments are required. At first I had no success with the instructions, but gave a hint regarding the version Opensyncs then the decisive clue. Accordingly, this was also the impetus to upgrade to Ubuntu Hardy to make.
Contrary to statements in the article the link does not work for me under Gutsy, but only with the OpenSync which is in Hardy.
Here then the following settings for the E61i came into play:
The existing PC Suite profile copied to "test" and then in the connection settings of Test:
- Server Version: 1.1
- Media: Bluetooth
- Server Address: test
- Username: -
- Password: -
- the rest: yes
- Reiter Bluetooth: Mac address of my E61i and Channel 10
- Reiter databases: the default name, but large written
- Options tab: User and Password: -
- Options tab: SyncML Version: 1.1
- Options tab: WAP Binary XML set a hook at
- Options tab: Softwarebezeichner: Test
With the settings of the sync works now without doing another. Now I have to experiment with my Egroupware at least ne second option as I can secure appointments and contacts ![]()
