If Squirrelmail under Ubuntu only speak English ...

by Andi

Is the fact that there are at Ubuntu from house no locale for the language to charset ISO-8859-15.
Concretely expresses the fact that one can choose any language in the surface, but the squirrel is pushing in English.

sudo vim / var / lib / locale / supported.d / local
# Add the following example for German
de_DE.ISO-8859-15
# Then
sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

# Possibly also rich
sudo locale-gen en_US

This was the missing locales generated and after restarting Apache, you can also choose the language in Squirrelmail and gets it even then :)

Dirty critters

by Andi

When we were two weeks ago on Sunday two hours in the Rhine road, I was allowed me in the evening happy about the first little taste of summer: a crane fly down ...
So far, so harmless. Yesterday we went through the upper forest and since I had caught the summer after all. At one point I thought, Hmm there's something itching on the arm, but you are so not like her for a itch. Few minutes later, but then I looked again. Sat there, quite a gnat sucking happily to herself. Gossip!
The next few hours I was relatively safe to have caught the Mistviech time. It did not start to itch and no swelling. Nope!
This morning I wake to: bulge with mild redness ... and to make matters worse, on the other arm the same only bigger with more Juckfaktor! * To jump out of skin *

At least I can console myself with the fact that the mosquitoes plagued summer probably is a pleasure to sleep next to me. The beasts pounce're all on me ;)

Simultaneous Petition!

by Andi

The working group on data retention has a petition running to be related to the "transfer of executive powers of intervention to the Federal" phenomenon.
Definitely needs an asterisk * to sign it. Perhaps what brings it still, hope dies last ... you know,

Go over and Los ...

by Andi

drag a 4001 spam comments:

After all, I had to deal with this not, especially since I barely over 4000 spam / trackback comments left would still very much in peace with, if this example with Roberts 1 million compares ;)

Opera is going Open Source?

by Andi

An english speaking article at my blog again. The last one was for screenshots for amarok 1.3.9 ...

I was quite surprised to read the following in one of the latest posts in the Opera desktop team blog :

If you think we should go open source: This is as close as it gets, Opera code yourself and get paid for it

Does this mean, or can it be, that Opera will go Open Source in the near future?
I do not think so, but one could interpret it like that ;)
